My Trip To Washington

This is a picture of the Washington Monument. Unfortunately, it was closed the day I visited so I didn't make it up to the top. This pic was snapped from just outside the walkway at the Lincoln Memorial.

This is a picture of the Jefferson Memorial. It was a long walk out there but well worth the trip! Inside, printed on the walls are many quotes of his. It was fascinating reading them.

This is a picture of the Capitol Building. Visitors were not allowed in on the day we were in D.C. so I only got to see the outside of the building. I know trekking up the steps to the building nearly killed me!!

This is a picture of the White House. This is the back side. It was really interesting to see the canvas displayed over the back entrance to keep on-lookers, like me, from seeing who was coming and going. :)

This is a picture from inside the Lincoln Memorial. There is honest Abe sitting in his big 'ol chair. On the walls inside are some of his speeches, including the Gettysburg Address.
