DC ZOO

This is a picture of an Antelope trying to move a log out of his way. We were really surprised how many of the animals we were able to see while at the zoo. Usually they are either sleeping or hiding. It was also a perfect day on the day we went there. This Zoo is so peaceful and the walking isn't that bad at all.

This is a picture of a black bear. He looked a lot like the bear that we see in those Canadian beer commercials don't he?

This is a picture of a two humped camel at the zoo. Tommy wanted to know if it would spit at him.

This is a picture of the cheetahs at the zoo. They seemed pretty content to be on top of their hill lounging in the sun.

This is a picture of one of the two giant Pandas that were just given to the DC Zoo. These Pandas were kind of small but that is because they are still very young. This was the female panda.

In this picture, the female panda is rubbing her furry back on the logs.

This is another picture of the Giant Panda at the zoo.

In this picture, the Panda is playing around on the lob and enjoying the heat of the morning sun.

Can you spot the male Panda up in the tree? He is up there just lounging around. The zoo keeper said that the male Panda is not very social.

This is a picture of some giant turtles at the zoo. For turtles, they seemed to get around quite speedily.
